I. Call to order.
II. Approval of the Board minutes for the Board meetings held on July 25, 2017, and September 6, 2017.
III. Report on the next Part-II examination for motor vehicle damage appraiser.
IV. Review of a draft letter notifying examinees who fail the Part-II examination for motor vehicle damage appraiser license that under the ADALB’s Enabling Act, M.G.L. c. 26, § 8G “[A]n applicant failing to pass an examination satisfactory to the board, shall, after payment of a further fee of fifty dollars, be entitled to a reexamination after the expiration of six months from the date of the last examination….”, they are precluded from re-taking the examination for six months.
V. Review of a proposed Advisory Ruling, submitted by Board Member Richard Starbard, advising licensed motor vehicle damage appraisers in relevant part, “[t]hat partial panel refinishing is considered to be a modification of a published manual and may not be included on an appraisal without prior notification."
VI. Other business – reserved for matters the Chair did not reasonably anticipate at the time of the posting of the meeting and agenda.
VII. Executive session. At the time for preparing the Board’s agenda there were no matters that would require the Board entering the executive session.
